Abstract illustration of civic activism. A diverse group of people — including Black, Asian, and white individuals — raise a megaphone, flag, and fists in solidarity. Central symbols include a scale of justice, a ballot box with a checkmark, and a glowing raised fist surrounded by icons of connected people. The background transitions from warm orange to cool blue, with rays of light and a cityscape. Accessibility and communication icons appear on the right.

Several of Scotland’s Autistic People’s Organisations have come together to publish a shared manifesto ahead of May’s Scottish Parliament elections. It’s a powerful piece of collective advocacy — rooted in human rights, justice, and meaningful inclusion.

This manifesto isn’t just about policy. It’s about dignity, equity, and long‑term change shaped by lived experience. “Nothing about us without us.”

These actions would make life better for a great many people — Autistic and not. They set out a clear, practical path toward a Scotland where Autistic people can thrive, participate fully, and be heard in decisions that affect our lives.

If you agree with the manifesto’s aims, please consider sharing it with your local candidates. Let them know that Autistic voices matter, and that these proposals deserve serious attention.

If you do share it, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a message or tag us on social media — it helps us track momentum and show that this matters to voters across Scotland.
