Welcome to Autscot 2027

Autscot is a new retreat-style conference created by ARGH Scotland, run by and for autistic people. It is a small, community-led residential event designed to be supportive, inclusive, and neuroaffirming. We are creating space to connect, share experiences, and learn together, away from the pressures of neurotypical-dominated environments. There will be plenty to do at Autscot 2027, but every activity is optional.

Under 18s are welcome to attend but must be supervised by their responsible adult at all times. The lead booker must be aged 18+.

Please note: no childcare will be provided.

Non-autistic people are welcome, but Autscot is centred around autistic people’s needs, sensitivities and interests.

Autscot’s programme will run from Tuesday to Friday. We will have talks, workshops, opportunities to socialise – all are specifically for autistic people, by autistic people. The full programme will be revealed soon, but we’re delighted to welcome Sofia Farzana to talk about Scottish Ethnic Minority Autistics (SEMA), Sonny Hallett to talk about exploring how we can build more sustainable relationships and communities, and Martijn Dekker to tell us about the history of autistic communities.

Tickets will be on sale for £352 (but £305 per person if sharing a room – see below) and cover the full event, including meals and overnight stays (bedding and towels are included in the price). You can tell us about your requirements, such as any allergies or food intolerances, through the booking system.

Autscot is inspired by events such as Autreat and Autscape, but is an independent event and is not connected to or affiliated with any other organisation.

Autscot is entirely volunteer-led and community-driven.

Important!

If you are considering coming to Autscot 2027, please start thinking about who you could share a room with.

We have a limited number of rooms available for Autscot, and most rooms have more than one bed. All are ensuite.

To help us welcome as many people as possible, ensure that people who want to come can get a place and create the community atmosphere that will make the event special, we’re encouraging people to share a room with a family member or friend wherever possible.

There will be a discount for people who share, so it’s a great opportunity to come along together while also helping us make the most of the accommodation available.

Sharing rooms means:

  • More people can take part in Autscot.
  • We can create a stronger sense of community and connection throughout the event.
  • We can make the best use of our limited accommodation.
  • We can keep the event financially sustainable for the charity.

Booking will open in November 2026. Before booking opens, have a think about who you might like to share with. Is there a family member, friend or someone from your community who you could invite along?

It’s not mandatory for people to share rooms, and we won’t make people share with strangers. This request is about helping us ensure we make the best possible use of the available accommodation on site.

We’ll share full booking details when bookings open. People sharing a room will each receive £50 off the full price.

Three colour photographs. They show a paved open area with tables and chairs outside a two-storey building with windows. The middle shows a carpeted corridor with comfortable chairs, wood-panelled walls and a high ceiling. The third photo shows a single bed with duvet, red carpet, a large window and central heating radiator; the walls and door are white.
